About the role
We are seeking a Junior Staff Accountant with 2-4 years of experience to join our growing finance team. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in accounting principles, and general ledger management. This role requires strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and proficiency with NetSuite or similar ERP systems. The Junior Staff Accountant will play a crucial role in supporting financial operations, ensuring compliance, and assisting with month-end close processes.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Record and maintain financial transactions, including invoices, payments, and receipts.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and in a timely manner.
- Reconcile bank and credit card statements to ensure accurate financial records.
- Assist in recording the payroll journals
- Process employee expense reports using Expensify
- Support financial audits by preparing necessary documentation and records.
- Utilize NetSuite (or similar ERP system) to track transactions and improve bookkeeping efficiencies.
Skills & Experience
- 2-4 years of experience in accounting or finance roles, preferably in a startup environment.
- Experience with NetSuite or other ERP systems is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets and financial analysis.
- Solid knowledge of U.S. tax regulations and accounting standards
- Experience with general ledger accounting and financial reconciliations
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processing.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
