The ideal candidate is a collaborative team player with deep knowledge of cloud environments, CI/CD processes, and modern infrastructure best practices.

Key Responsibilities

DevOps Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and manage CI/CD pipelines to facilitate fast, efficient development and deployment cycles.
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and deployments using Terraform, Ansible, or similar tools.
  • Conduct performance, scalability, and reliability testing across system components to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Respond to production incidents and service-related outages, troubleshoot issues, and implement timely resolutions; occasional after-hours support may be required.
  • Monitor and enhance system performance, reliability, and scalability through continuous optimization efforts.
  • Collaborate with development teams to streamline deployment and release processes.
  • Establish and maintain logging, monitoring, and alerting for systems and applications using tools like Grafana, Prometheus, or AWS CloudWatch.
  • Manage cloud infrastructure (AWS and Azure), ensuring compliance with security best practices and cost-efficiency guidelines.

Desirable MySQL Experience:

  • Offer input on MySQL database schema changes proposed by engineering teams as needed.
  • Provide basic recommendations for performance tuning or assist with troubleshooting when necessary.
  • Advocate for best database design and query optimization practices in collaboration with developers.

Required Qualifications:

  • Strong proficiency with automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
  • Hands-on experience with container orchestration platforms like Docker and Kubernetes.
  • In-depth understanding of networking concepts and cloud infrastructure architectures.
  • Proficiency in scripting and programming languages, including Python, Bash, or similar.
  • Experience with logging and monitoring tools like ELK, Loki, or Prometheus.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with MySQL or other relational database systems.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based database services like Amazon RDS.
  • Cloud platform certifications (AWS, Azure, or GCP) are a plus.

Key Competencies:

  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Proactive mindset with a willingness to learn and adopt new technologies.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to operational excellence.
